Who we are
A Light to the Nations is the ministry of evangelist Dana Morey. Our vision is simple: win the lost, care for the poor, and inspire the Body of Christ.
Most of that work happens in East Africa. We hold open-air gospel crusades, then stay to help new believers grow and to train the pastors who will care for them.
Our name echoes a promise God made through Isaiah: “I will make you a light to the Gentiles, and you will bring my salvation to the ends of the earth” (Isaiah 49:6 NLT).
Why we go
Jesus told his followers, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone” (Mark 16:15 NLT). In the last few months that has meant crusades in Kyotera, Uganda, and in Bukoba and Buhongwa, Tanzania.
But a crusade is a beginning, not an ending. Someone who says yes to Jesus on a Saturday night needs a Bible, a church, and someone to walk with them on Monday morning.
