One of the questions we are frequently asked is “Why do you do this?”. When there are so many needs in the world – people are hungry and naked and sick – they need clean water and food and medicine. Why don’t we exclusively focus on those things with our money?
Our answer is simple. It is because we believe that the greatest need that everyone on earth has is to find peace with God through His Son Jesus Christ. Jesus said, “What does it profit a man if he gains the whole world yet forfeits his soul?”. The only hope of an abundant life, a truly valuable life and most importantly eternal life is through a relationship with Jesus Christ.
When someone finds forgiveness of sin and hope in Christ, for the first time they have a power within them to bring true transformation. This transformation comes as God begins to change them from the inside out. He begins to show them their true value and His great love for them. When they grasp this, every good thing becomes possible.
This is why we do what we do. It is our PURPOSE and our greatest calling. Jesus said, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” We have learned that the Good News of Jesus Christ is the MOST POWERFUL message ever known to man and when it is proclaimed in faith and power, darkness always gives way to light, hope conquers despair, sadness is replaced with joy and death is swallowed up in life.
